A Little Side Quest……

Hi Everyone!

It’s Lindsey here, your Bookworm Ball Host!

I wanted to write you a “little” letter to express my greatest gratitude to everyone who made the past 4 years of Bookworm Ball a reality. As well as, bring some insight to what Bookworm Ball is going to be shaping into over the next few months. Please read below.

An Open Letter From Your Host

It’s a wrap! Bookworm Ball 2026 was such a success! It’s all because of the hard work, dedication, and love that were poured into this event by so many wonderful people.

As this chapter closes and new ones start to open, I want to give a huge shout-out and thank you to everyone who helped make this night possible.

Thank you to Cara and her photography team for capturing all of our stunning photos.

Thank you to Brian, our videographer, who brought us this magical video, as well as captured all of our most memorable moments from the night.

Thank you to Mystical Harp for adding your special touch and helping set the vibe for the event.

Thank you to all of our wonderful authors and vendors who put in so much hard work in preparation for our event. You all added so much magic to the evening.

Thank you to DJ Billy, who always brings the tunes.

Thank you to our wonderful venue and all of its staff, who helped create and execute my vision to perfection every year.

Thank you, Jenni, who brings the live-action photo booths to life by capturing our guests in their best dress.

Thank you to my staff and volunteers. Without each and every one of you, I would be truly lost on event days.

To my guests: You are my why.

The joy and happiness this event brings to each person who walks through the door makes doing these events worth it. I would not still be here making magic for you all without your support and encouragement year after year.

As we go through recaps of this year’s event and remember what a fantastic time we all had, I want to acknowledge all the work that went into it, all the talent it took to make this event memorable, and all the love I’ve poured into it.

I want you to know how grateful I am to every single person who made this event what it is today and who showed up year after year for me and for these events.

I’m not going to lie: this year’s event has really worn me out. I want to continue making these events better each year, but to do that, I need a little time to breathe and rekindle my passion for hosting them.

I know all of this sounds very final. But it’s not the end of Bookworm Ball.

This is not a goodbye; it’s a see you later.

I’m sure some of you have seen my post about an ACOTAR 6 release party. I will be hosting smaller events to continue working in the spaces I love, with the people I connect with most—bookish and fantasy people—until I’ve had time to recover from Bookworm Ball 2026.

I am still in the early stages of Bookworm Ball 2027; however, news about it will be coming out more slowly than in previous years.

Again, thank you. ❤️ I can’t wait to see what the future of Bookworm Ball brings!
